Located in the historic surf town of Haleiwa on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, The Soap Cellar has been representing Dennis McGeary's colorful tropical expressionism creations for over ten consecutive years.

Paintings featuring this style have predominantly been created during the lively interactive demonstrations that Dennis is notorious for, historically performed at various art festivals and events. Amongst a captivated audience, he introduces techniques, color theory and balance as he conjures up whimsical masterpieces. Many people marvel at the fact that he doesn't use brushes, and instead wields a single pair of drumsticks to create unique visual effects and manipulate the paint. In the midst of creating each tropical expressionistic design, Dennis is also known for entertaining the crowd with his harmonica, tambourine and drum rolls. As if creating a dramatic and thrilling sound track for the journey behind his creation, the flurry of music and art produces a culmination of the raw expression behind the artwork- ultimately leaving the audience with a visual representation of the entire experience.
